I wanted to briefly share the insights I gained today during our Heritage Walk. First and foremost, I truly had an amazing time today at the Heritage Walk. Exploring Old City Ahmedabad has always been on my bucket list and I'm grateful that I got the chance to fulfill it. It was fascinating to see the layout of the old city and its planning, and I can definitely say that the drainage system was better than modern times. The idea of the hollow steel pipe which releases the sewage smell directly into the atmosphere as well as the unique exterior of the houses which reflect the owner's business culture were compelling and innovative features that helped me see the Old City in a new light. Additionally, the Heritage Walk also gave me the opportunity to interact and engage with my fellow classmates. I was able to bond with many new people over our shared interest in Old Ahmedabad's culture and history. It was an incredible experience exploring and learning about the culture and I want to sincerely thank GLS for the experience. I look forward to making more exciting memories.
